Rite of Confirmation

A Rite of Confirmation took place at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church on Wednesday, September 20, at 6:00 PM.  Thirteen young people were confirmed into the Church by Bishop Peter Jugis, assisted by Fr. Matthew Codd.  They are Kassandra Aguilera, Sean Crothers, Alexis Luviano, Ella Nelsen, Naydelin Rodriguez, Sandra Vazquez, Jimin Yu, Spencer Cathey, Claudia Holman, Mark Mellon, Jordan Nuelle, Abigail Utter, and Alex Vazquez.  Congratulations to all!

Upcoming Events & Happenings

This Tuesday, September 26, the Knights of Columbus have scheduled a Work Day.  The project is cleaning and preparing the wooden decks outside the Parish Hall for staining and sealing.  If you would like to join in and assist the Knights with this project, come on out Tuesday morning.  They hope to have enough volunteers to complete the project by around noon.  Phase 2 of this project, staining, will be scheduled at a later date.  Contact Grand Knight Mike Ihnat at mikeihnatsr@gmail.com.

Catholic Campus Ministry Small Groups (Men's and Women's) meet each Tuesday at 7:00 PM at the CCM House on Faculty Street after praying the Rosary together at 6:30 PM.  Area college and university students from all schools are welcome.

Catholic Campus Ministry has its Wednesday Night Dinner each week at 7:00 PM at the CCM House on Faculty Street.  Food, fellowship, prayer, music, special programs, and reflection are usually on tap.  Accomodations can be made for those with dietary restrictions or preferences.  All university and college students are welcome. This weekend is our Food Collection Weekend.  Please bring non-perishable food items that you wish to donate to the Hunger and Health Coalition to the Saturday Vigil Mass or the Sunday Masses.  Do your part to reduce hunger in our area. 

The Knights of Columbus have a breakfast social every 1st Tuesday of the month at about 7:30 AM.  Venues vary so watch the website and bulletins for each month's location.  This month''s social, on October 3, is at Boone Bagelry's Water Wheel Restaurant on Highway 105 beside the water wheel.  All Knights and Parishioners are welcome.  Bring the family and come on out and enjoy a great start to your morning.  Contact Mike Ihnat at 512-923-1556 or mikeihnatsr@gmail.com for more information.  

The Safe Environment Program, Protecting God’s Children Virtus Class will be October 3, 2017, at 6:00 pm. in the Parish Hall downstairs.  All adults who wish to volunteer in positions that interact with children must have completed this class.  It is a Diocese requirement.  To register and get more information, go online to the Charlotte Diocese website: http://charlottediocese.org. The Safe Environment tab will provide the information you need to register and complete the required background check.
