Welcome to the Saint Elizabeth of the Hill Country Catholic Church website.  At St. Elizabeth, we give glory to God by living the message of Christ, practicing unconditional love and building community.  We continually work to nurture the spiritual, educational, and social development of God’s people.  Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit we strive to respond to the needs of our community, remain a close and vibrant Parish family, and grow in Faith.

Spend a little time exploring our website.  We update daily to give our followers a real time perspective of who we are, what we're doing, and where we're going.  Thank you for visiting our website.  If you haven't done so, visit our Parish and join us on our journey!

Weather Delays and Cancellations

We expect to be back on "normal" schedule by the weekend.  Decisions on any cancellations or delays at St. E will be posted as they are made.  As always, please use your own best judgement and stay safe.

News and Events

The Funeral Mass for Jeanne Morris, age 95, who died on December 9, will be held at St. Elizabeth of the Hill Country on Friday, December 14 at 1:00 PM.  The family will receive friends in the Pat Jones Parish Hall prior to the Mass at 11:30 AM.  Jeanne was a long time parishioner and active member of the Second Wednesday Group until recently when her health started to fail.  Her complete obituary can be seen HERE.

A Welcome and Get Acquainted Reception is scheduled for Sunday, December 16 in the Parish Hall between the 12:00 PM Mass and the 1:00 PM Mass.  The purpose is to welcome this year's newest parishioners and their families and allow older parishioners to meet them and get acquainted with them.  All parishioners from all Masses are invited.

Be a part of the 2018 St. Elizabeth Christmas Basket for a Needy Family Program.  Working with the Hunger and Health Coalition, Anita Kitchens and Carol Thompson have resurrected a program which our Parish once sponsored.  With the assistance of the Hunger and Health Coalition, deserving needy families have been selected for our parishioners to assist during Christmas.  You can pick a family and get complete details of the program after each Mass on December 1-2 and December 8-9.  Contact Anita Kitchens at 828-773-1536 or Carol Thompson at 828-264-0405 for further information.

St. Elizabeth of the Hill Country Catholic Church has adopted and will be helping 10 needy families or seniors with their Christmas this year.  You can help, too.  Please remove an angel from our Angel Tree in the Gathering Space to hang on your tree after you have turned in a gift card to the Parish Office or the Angel Tree Volunteer no later than December 16.  A $25.00 gift card from Wal Mart, Food Lion, or your favorite store or grocery store is suggested as an appropriate and needed gift for these people.

Angie Greene is continuing her tradition of collecting items to deliver to seniors in nursing homes who may be without family to share Christmas with.  Please contact Angie at 828-264-8021 to see what items she suggests.

RCIA meets on Thursday evenings at 7:00 PM  in the Youth Room.  All are welcome to attend and learn about our Faith.

Knights of Columbus are selling “Keep Christ in Christmas” magnets after Mass.  They are $4 each.  All proceeds support local charities.

Dr. Tom Rokoske's presentation on the "Star of Bethlehem", originally scheduled for Tuesday, December 11, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, December 18 at 5:30 PM at the Church. All are welcome to attend.
