Our Newest Parishioner

 

We're excited to welcome our newest parishioner, Benedict Paul Kankiewicz, who was born on August 12, at 10:15 PM.  He came in at 7 lbs. 5 oz. and 18 inches long. He is the firstborn son of our Director of Religious Education, Paul Kankiewicz.  Mother and baby are both doing well. Please pray for Valerie, Paul, and baby Benedict as they embark on life's great journey as a family.

Fall Starting Dates Announced

 Confirmation classes are set to resume on Wednesday, August 21, from 6:30 - 8:00 PM. Faith Formation classes will begin on Sunday, September 8 at 11:45 AM after the 10:30 AM Sunday Mass. Contact our Religious Education Office for more information or to register.  Faith Formation Forms can be found in the Religiious Education Office or on the table in front of the bulletin board in the Gathering Space.

Events & Announcements

    

Move-In Weekend at App State is August 16-18.  Mass will be offered at 9:30 AM on Friday, August 16.  A Vigil Mass will be offered at 4:30 PM on Saturday, August 17.  The English language Mass will be offered at 11:00 AM on Sunday, August 18.   A Spanish language Mass will follow at 1:00 PM.  Students and their families are invited to come to Mass, get acquainted with each other, and meet members of our Parish and our staff.  We look forward to seeing you!

 

Ladies Night Out will be held at Taste Grill in Shadowline Shopping Center at 6:30 PM on Thursday, August 29.  RSVP ambermellon@gmail.com to reserve a seat.

 

 

FAITH FORMATION registration and health forms are available in the Gathering Space and Religious Education Office.  Forms and payments must be completed and submitted by Sunday, August 25.  The first day of Faith Formation Classes will be Sunday, September 8.  For those students who will be receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation this Fall, classes will resume on Wednesday,  August 21, from 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM.  The class meets every week leading up to Confirmation, which will take place on Monday, September 30, at 6:00 PM.  For more information contact DRE Paul Kankiewicz in the Parish Religious Education Office at 828-264-8338 ext. 22 or email stehc.formation@gmail.com.

 

Confirmation 2019

The 2019 Confirmation Mass will take place on Monday, September 30, at 6:00 PM. All parishioners are invited to attend and pray for our confirmandi as they receive this great sacrament.

 

The 2019 Eucharistic Congress will be held on September 6th and 7th at the Charlotte Convention Center. This year’s speakers will include Dr. Scott Hahn and Russ Berault, who will speak on his extensive research on The Shroud of Turin.  There are tracks for Children, Middle School, Teens and Special Needs (registration is required for all). There is also  a Spanish track for adults, which does not require registration. Parents can  register this year’s First Communicants online to participate in the Processional that takes place at 9 AM on the 7th.  Click HERE for more information on events and registration.
