Soup Suppers will be served every Friday during Lent at 6:00 PM. Each Friday will be hosted by a different group of the Parish. Stations of the Cross will be at 7:00 PM following the Soup Suppers. Serving Groups are as follows: March 8 - Second Wednesday, March 15 - Hispanic Ministry, March 22 - Life Village, March 29 - Catholic Campus Ministry, April 5 - Parish Council, Sunday Evening Youth Group - April 12. All Soup Dinners are free except the Life Village sponsored fundraiser on March 22.
KAMPN’s Soup and Sandwich for Life to benefit LIFE Village, an inclusive residential community being built for adults with autism is on Friday, March 22 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Come on out to enjoy a soup of your choice, crab salad sandwich, a side, and dessert. Adults $12, children 12 and under $6, maximum $25/family. Free handmade pottery bowls to first 25 tickets purchased. Come help us give adults with autism and other life challenges LIFE with a purpose!

The FREE Natural Family Planning (NFP) Full Course will be offered Saturday, March 30th in Hickory at St. Aloysius Catholic Church from 1:30 PM until 5:30 PM. The course will be offered in the Parlor near the Parish Offices. Topics to be covered include:Effectiveness of modern NFP methods; Health risks of popular contraceptives; Benefits of NFP including health, relational, and spiritual benefits; Church teaching on responsible parenting and marital sexuality; and..how to use NFP. The Knights of Columbus will participate in the Habitat for Humanity build on Sat., April 20th at the Greenwood subdivision off of Big Hill Rd. All parishioners of St. Elizabeth are invited to participate in this very worthy charity. The work day is from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM. Wear work clothes and bring lunch, water, and hand tools. "Darkness Enlightened" is the theme for the 42nd annual Diocesan Youth Conference which will take place at Blue Ridge Assembly in Black Mountain, NC from April 26 - 28. The Knights of Columbus Habitat Weekends are scheduled for the third Saturday of the month through June.. The work is from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Wear work clothes & bring lunch, water, gloves & your own hand tools if you like. Directions to the site are as follows: GreenWood: Turn onto HWY 194 from US HWY 421 South at the Hardees red light at New Market Center. Travel approximately 5.5 miles to right on Big Hill Road. After approximately 150 yards, turn into Green Valley Elementary School. Take an immediate left onto GreenWood Valley Drive and follow the short drive to the end of the road.
Mark your calendars for Totus Tuus, Summer 2019! Totus Tuus for this summer (Summer catechetical program similar to Vacation Bible School) will have a sign up forms and information available in the Gathering Space and Parish Office soon. Totus Tuus will be the week of June 23-28th. Rising 1st - 6th graders will meet June 24th through 28th from 9:00 AM until 2:30 PM. Rising 7th graders through 12th graders will meet June 23rd through 27th from 7:00 AM until 9:00 PM. Children from other parishes are welcome, including Catholic friends or cousins that want to join your children for the week. Grandkids are welcome, too! Cost is yet to be determined but is expected to be minimal with discounts for multiple children. You can view a promotional video of the program HERE. St. Elizabeth of the Hill Country Catholic Church is seeking a full-time person who is capable of becoming our Director of Religious Education. This person will work enthusiastically and creatively with parishioners, children, youth, clergy, and parish and diocesan staff to develop a comprehensive religious education program for the entire parish with the objective of growing and expanding our programs and leading everyone into a deeper life with Christ. The Boone Council of the Knights of Columbus sincerely thanks the parishioners who purchased state raffle tickets. Your support will help local charities in the Boone community.
St. Joseph’s Vanguard, The St. Joseph College Seminary Prayer Committee asks that the faithful in our Diocese pray for heaven’s blessing on the capital campaign to raise the funds for a building and residence near the Belmont Abbey campus to meet the housing and formation needs of our expanding seminarian group. Prayer cards invoking the intercession of our great patron, St. Joseph, are available on the bulletin table in the Gathering Space so that we may unite together in prayer for the success of this project, and for our future priests who will serve the faithful of this Diocese for generations to come.
Contribution Statements were mailed out Friday, February 1st. If you did not receive one please let our church office know. If you use on line gift giving, the church office does not have access to your personal account. There are instructions about how you can print your contributions on the site. Outreach contributions for 2nd Collections and local charitable organizations are not included in your financial statements. FFHL & DSA contribution statements will be sent to you from the Diocese.
