Food Collection for the area hungry and homeless is a tradition at St. Elizabeth of the High Country. It is hard to not see the need for this ministry if you get out and about very much in our area. Many children go to bed hungry every night in our county.
All you have to do to be a part of our Food Collection Ministry is collect non-perishable food items and bring them to St. Elizabeth Church. Volunteers at the Church will do the rest and get them to where they are needed most. There is a Collection Box inside the front door for this purpose. Any time the Chapel is listed as open or there is a Mass, the Food Collection Box is available.
Our Food Collection Sunday is the first Sunday of every month. That's when we particularly emphasize this need and ask that as many people as possible bring what they can. And if you come for the Saturday Vigil Mass, that counts, too. The Collection Area on Food Sunday Weekend is in front of the Baptismal Font.
Call our Church Office or speak with a Lay Assistant at any Mass for more information on this worthy cause.
