St. Elizabeth Catholic Church has a long history of visiting area prisons and jails to minister to prisons. It's not an easy ministry to get into. Volunteers and Clergy must complete a training program required by jail and prison administrators which can take up to a year before they're allowed to go into the detainment facilities. But it can be very rewarding, once qualified. Besides, it's included in the Corporal Works of Mercy.
If you have an interest in this ministry, or if you're currently incarcerated and you'd like a visit from our ministry, please call the Parish Office and ask to be put into contact with a member of our Clergy or our Prison Ministries Coordinator, Richard Fallis.
