Worship Assistant Dress Code

PLEASE NOTE----There is now a DRESS CODE for Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Musicians, Choristers, and Ushers.  To avoid embarrassment for yourself and our Mass Coordinators, Please observe and comply with the code.  It is as follows:

Men

Clean casual or dress slacks or pants are preferred.  Long pants are required.  Please do not wear jeans or shorts.

Button front shirts are preferred.  Dress or dressy casual polo shirts with collars are permitted.  Collars are required.  Button front shirt collars may be button down or otherwise suitable for use with a tie.  Shirt styles should be dressy casual or dress type.  Please do not wear logo shirts or t-shirts.

Ties.  Ties worn with appropriate shirts are preferred dress.  However, a nice casual or dress shirt with collar may be worn without a tie.

Coats.  Suit jackets or sport coats are preferred.  However, a nice casual or dress shirt with collar, without any coat, is allowed, with or without a tie.  Please do not wear jean jackets or logo jackets.

Shoes.  Dress or casual dress shoes or boots are preferred.  Athletic shoes which do not look like athletic shoes and dress sandals with socks are allowed.

 

Women

A modest length dress or skirt is preferred.  Skirt or dress slits or hem lengths which are more than four inches above the knee are not appropriate.  Full length dressy casual or dress pants, while allowed, are discouraged.  Please do not wear shorts, jeans, tight-fitting, or revealing clothes.

Blouse, shirt, or dress.  Please consider modesty in your selection.  Completely bare and revealing shoulders and spaghetti straps are not appropriate.  Revealing necklines or backs are not appropriate.   See through clothing is not allowed.

Modest bracelets and necklaces are permitted.  Jewelry and piercings which are excessive and attention-attracting are not appropriate.

Shoes.  Modest dress or casual dress shoes or boots are preferred.   Shoes or boots which are extreme in style, decoration, or heel height to a degree that is likely to attract attention or distract from the Mass are not appropriate.  Athletic shoes which do not look like athletic shoes and dress sandals are allowed.
